I posted this in the guidebook, but wanted to deliver a quick reminder on prospect status for the Sept. 20 Prospect Draft. Players eligible to be drafted must meet a few requirements... - Player must have been drafted by an NHL team (Important because there are players in the player pool who are eligible for next year's NHL Entry Draft because Fantrax is sweet)
- Player can only have played in 25 career NHL games or less. For goalies, 15 or less.
- Player must be 25 years of age or younger by Sept. 20
To help you out, I've listed a few of the bigger names who fall under this category so you know to avoid them. Most were in and out of the free agency pool over the course of last season, so there shouldn't be many surprises here. These players are technically free agents, so if you want these or any others that fall under these restrictions, bid on them starting Monday, Sept. 21.
Leon Draisaitl (EDM; forward) Andrei Vasilevskiy (TB; goalie) Derrick Pouliot (PIT; defense) John Gibson (ANA; goalie) Teuvo Teravainen (CHI; forward) Andre Burakovsky (WSH; forward) Damon Severson (NJ; defense) Teemu Pulkkinen (DET; forward) Brandon Gormley (ARI; defense)
